PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature insulator for rotating electric machine capable of being smoothly attached to a core and improving the insulating property of a coil. SOLUTION: A coil is formed by winding a wire around pole teeth via the insulator 27 which comprises a core composed of the plurality of pole teeth radially arranged facing a magnet, wherein slots are formed between the adjacent pole teeth and slot inlet is opened between the adjacent pole teeth on the surface facing the magnet, and which covers coil end surface of the pole teeth and both of the side surfaces. In the insulator 27, that is, the armature insulator for rotating electric machine composed of a radially formed coil end 27b formed corresponding to the pole teeth and inserting parts 27c which cover a slot inner wall surface integrally formed on both the sides of the respective coil ends 27b, if the coil end side is set to be an upper side thereof, an inclined notch 63 is formed so that an insertion length of the slot opening side end is shorter on the lower side thereof.
