<p>A manometry apparatus includes a multi-lumen catheter comprising an extruded flexible tube having a plurality of lumens extending through the body of the tube between a proximal end and a distal end. The flexible tube has a first diameter in a proximal portion extending over a part of its length at the proximal end and a second diameter, larger than the first diameter, in a distal portion extending over a part of its length at the distal end. A plurality of flexible connection tubes are each coupled to a respective one of the plurality of lumens by insertion of the respective flexible connection tube into a corresponding lumen. Connection of the multi-lumen catheter to multiple flexible connection tubes is simplified by extruding the distal end of the catheter to a larger dimension so that the connection tubes can be directly inserted into the catheter lumens.</p> |
