DEFLECTING YOKE AND DEFLECTING YOKE-USE CORE

A deflecting yoke used in a cathode ray tube, and a deflecting yoke-use core. A deflecting yoke-use core is a square slot core in which a core inner surface has a rectangular portion and projections are provided on the core inner surface. Projections at the rectangular portion are formed with their disposed positions and projecting distances selectively set so as to ease magnetic field distortion produced in a deflecting magnetic field. A deflecting yoke is provided with such a deflecting yoke-use core. Accordingly, power-saving on deflecting power is enabled, and a high-order magnetic field generation in a deflecting magnetic field is restrained to make it possible to improve the convergence characteristics and beam focusing characteristics of electron beams.
