PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which the flexibility of the installation condition and the like of security system is improved and to provide a crime prevention system using the device. SOLUTION: Multiple interface functions such as a hard disk 3 are incorporated in an ASIC (application specific integrated circuit) 2, and the function module/device of a print engine 6, a FAX board 7, the like are connected to a PCI (peripheral component interface) bus 5. A PCI board 9 and a sensor unit 10 constitute a monitoring/image-pickup device. An infrared sensor detecting an infrared ray from a human body, an image sensor which image-picks up a monitoring area, an optical system, and a data processing part are incorporated in the sensor unit 10. The sensor unit 10 can be fitted to the arbitrary part of the image forming device. In the system, system configuration and arrangement can easily be changed and wiring is rarely buried. Thus, shift due to the change of layout is easy and therefore effective monitoring can always be performed. |
