A process for separating a polar solvent from an organic acid and/or a neutralization salt thereof, said process comprising: feeding a stream comprising a polar solvent and an organic acid and/or a neutralization salt thereof to a selectively permeable nanofiltration membrane, so as to separate said stream into a permeate comprising said polar solvent and a retentate comprising said organic acid and/or a neutralization salt thereof.
