<p>In the process of production of a disposable diaper (1), a plurality of back sheets forming the garment abutting surface of a diaper (1) are connected along their side edges to form a first web (63). The first web (63) is continuously fed in the direction of the length thereof. The adjoining back sheets in the first web (63) are fed with tape pieces (67) each extending longitudinally of the first web across a line (A) that defines the side edge of adjoining back sheets. The tape piece (67) is folded in Z- or inverted Z-shape at opposite ends thereof, and the lower surface of the tape piece positioned on the top of the Z- or inverted Z-shape has a first adhesive agent applied thereto, while the lower surface of the tape piece (67) positioned on the bottom of the Z- or inverted Z-shape has a second adhesive agent applied thereto, so that the tape piece (67) is bonded to the first web (63) by the second adhesive agent. The first web (63) and the tape pieces (67) are cut along the lines (A).</p> |
