<p>A semipermeable composite membrane which is obtained by contacting with an aqueous oxidizing agent solution a semipermeable composite membrane comprising: a thin film comprising a polyamide resin having structural units which each is made up of a diamine residue and a di- or tricarboxylic acid residue bonded thereto through an amide linkage and in which the diamine residue is a residue of a secondary diamine formed by replacing an N-position hydrogen atom of an aromatic diamine with an alkyl group; and a porous supporting film which supports the thin film. It combines practical water permeability with excellent salt-rejecting properties and resistance to oxidizing agents.</p> |
