The preparation process comprises circulating a steam-gas mixture through the fibers in a circuit including a heat exchanger. Part (8) of the vapor flow is diverted into a second heat exchanger before the first heat exchanger in the direction of flow, where it is heated and then goes to the combustion chamber (11a) of a hot gas creator fired by solid fuel (12). At least one hot gas circuit is heated in this way.
