PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser power-controllable optical disk device capable of evading a failure of erroneously performing a recording operation with respect to a recording medium due to excessive superimposition of high frequency signals at the time of a reproducing operation. SOLUTION: By providing a high frequency signal generator generating high frequency signals to be superimposed on a laser driving current and an amplitude adjuster adjusting an amplitude of the high frequency signals and driving a semiconductor laser by superimposing the high frequency signals whose amplitude is increased stepwise on the laser driving current in the case of changeover from the recording operation to the reproducing operation, the failure of erroneously performing the recording operation at the time of reproduction to the recordable recording medium due to the excessive superimposition of the high frequency signals is evaded. |
