PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge tube lighting device that can light with high efficiency in the discharge tube lighting device for lighting the discharge tube, in which a voltage is impressed between the opposing electrodes and, by the movement of electrons caused by the voltage, the gas filled between the electrodes is ionized and emission is performed. SOLUTION: In the discharge tube lighting device for lighting the discharge tube, a voltage is impressed between the opposing electrodes (24, 25) and, by the movement of electrons caused by the voltage, the gas filled between the electrodes (24, 25) is ionized and emission is performed. It comprises a lighting means (11) that impresses a prescribed frequency that makes the voltage fluctuations between the electrodes (24, 25) linear characteristics. |
