PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coding system for recording a data code of a sequence in which a '0' string is not long and a minimum d run length is not long by efficiently suppressing direct current components with high accuracy in recording data according to d and k code regulations. SOLUTION: A different digital word is added to an inputted data word to generate a plurality of intermediate sequences, the plurality of intermediate sequences are scrambled, the plurality of scrambled intermediate sequences are subsequently modulated into a sequence coinciding with d and k conditions with a preliminarily set m/n coding ratio, the number of times of code changes of running DSV and running DSV to bits in each sequence is measured with respect to a modulated d and k condition adaptation sequence, and one d and k condition adaptation sequence being a sequence in which maximum running DSV does not surpass a reference value and the number of times of code changes of running DSV is maximum is selected.
