PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manufacture a planar antenna either for circularly polarized waves or for linearly polarized waves. SOLUTION: A patch element 4 is arranged on the side of a main surface 2a out of the two main surfaces 2a and 2b of a base plate 2. A water supply board 10 or 12 is provided on the other main surface 2b of the base plate 2. The power supply board 10 is for linearly polarized waves, and the power supply board 12 is for circularly polarized waves. The predetermined one out of these boards 10 and 12 is connected to the patch element 4 via a connection pin 16.
