PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manufacture a rotor. SOLUTION: The rotor of a permanent magnet type electric rotating machine is constituted by installing a rotor iron core 1 in which electromagnetic steel plates are laminated and permanent magnets 3 which are attached internally in magnet holes 2 arranged in an inner peripheral part of the rotor iron core 1. When the rotor is manufactured, the permanent magnets 3 are inserted in the magnet holes 2 of the rotor iron core 1. After that, at least a part of each magnet hole 2 of the rotor iron core 1 is transformed, and the permanent magnets 3 are fixed to the magnet holes 2.
