PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compositing device by which work efficiency for arranging the positions of adjacent images is improved in the case a user arranges the positions of the images manually so as to overlap the overlapping parts of the images in each pair of adjacent images. SOLUTION: This image compositing device is provided with a first means for arranging the positions of the adjacent images manually so as to overlap the overlapping parts of the images in each pair of adjacent images selected out of a plurality of images arranged two-dimensionally on a monitor screen, and a second means for combining the whole images on the basis of results of arranging the positions of the images on the first means. The first means is provided with a means for displaying two images constituting a pair of adjacent images on the monitor screen, a means for displaying the relative positional relation of the two images on the monitor screen in a pattern, and a means for moving one of the two images so as to overlap the overlapping parts of the two images displayed on the monitor screen.
