PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving device which can adequately adjust a demand for storing as many modules as possible and the situation that software hangs up in the worst case if a work area becomes deficient. SOLUTION: A memory 14 provides a contents area where a plurality of modules can be stored and the work area for specific software. For the memory 14, a 1st border value C and a 2nd border value B for area division are set. Contents are stored basically within the 1st border value C and the part from the 1st border value C to the 2nd border value B is basically made free as the work area. Contents which are needed even exceeding the 1st border value C are stored within the 2nd border value B.
