The umbrella, assembled of a telescopic shaft (3), a set of primary spreading elements (7), a set of shorter inner (4) and secondary spreading elements (5) and a textile cover is opened or folded by moving a sliding element along the shaft (3). The new design of a sliding element is provided with a row of radial positioned holes for the insertion of extensions located the inner ends of the secondary spreading elements (5). The extensions can be part of the wire or produced as a separate component.
