PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic system for allowing a patient to freely receive convenient medical examination and treatment away from a hospital anytime. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a terminal T and a server S connected through a network N. The prescribed position of a body is imaged by an image pickup unit C connected to the terminal T, and picture data obtained by the image pickup are transmitted through the network to the server S. The server S compares the received picture data with reference data (not shown in a figure) owned by the server S, and automatically examines the health situation of a user, and prepares diagnostic data. In this case, the diagnostic data can be made equivalent to a diagnostic result to be announced to a patient by a doctor, and therefore the automatic diagnosis can be realized.
