PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can freely build up an image registration processing environment where specifications of display processing or print processing applied to image data stored in a storage means are customized by each user with a simple operation. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is characterized in to have a configuration where a CPU 101 manages authentication classification information for instructing a limit placed on display of image data to an LCD 120 or print of the image data to a printer 106 set by each user on a hard disk 110 when the image data received from a scanner 108 are registered on the hard disk 110.
