PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio/video reproducing device capable of suppressing the power consumption that tends to increase as the device becomes multifunctional. SOLUTION: The audio/video reproducing device includes an audio processing section 15b for expanding compressed audio data to obtain original audio data, a video processing section 15c for expanding compressed video data to obtain original video data, an audio section 16 for outputting the original audio data, and a display section 17 for outputting the original video data. When the display section 17 is brought into an inactive state, the expansion processing of the compressed video data by the video processing section 15c is automatically stopped. |
