PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic instrument which can attain miniaturization and weight reduction of a device while making electric power large by arranging plurality of batteries at both sides of the device after dividing to two pairs and connecting a pair of housing parts where respective batteries are housed by a hinge mechanism with freely opening/closing. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a battery housing body 3 which is constituted of a pair of battery cases 34, 35 for housing batteries 40 by the hinge mechanism with freely opening/closing and with a lid 8 covering a disk loading section 7 with freely opening/closing where an optical disk is loaded with freely attaching/detaching. Further the lid 8 and the battery housing body 3 are integrally constituted with freely opening/closing by loading the battery housing body 3 on the lid 8.
