PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge which discriminates the front/rear of disk media and a recorded state without increasing the number of parts even when the disk media is small-sized in particular. SOLUTION: A recessed part 41 is formed on one side (the right side in this embodiment) of width direction at the viewpoint from the inner surface side and tabs 40 which can be snapped off are erected from the recessed part 41 on the back side of a case member 14. Either one or both of the tabs 40 are snapped off as need and thereby, for example, the recognition of the surface of disk cartridge 12 and other information is allowed. Because the case members 14 with the same shape which are integrally provided with the tabs 40 are used by two, the number of parts is not increased.
