A flexible fuel transport hose having improved fuel vapor permeation characteristics comprising an inner layer (12) of a conductive nitrile-butadiene rubber, a thin aluminum barrier layer (12) on the outside surface of the inner tubular layer (12), and an elastomeric adhesive layer (16) on the outer surface of the aluminum layer (14); and a method for making the flexible fuel transport hose are disclosed.
