The method provides coordination of the switching of packet-based data between inputs and outputs dependent on request information (req) provided for each input, defining the output for which the data is intended, with incorporation of a priority encoding step for prioritizing the access to the data outputs. An Independent claim for a circuit for providing authorisation information for packet-based data switching coordination is also included.
