A power generation unit (20) of a fuel cell device is cooled by a reaction g as heat exchanger (24) by using the fuel and air introduced for the operation o f the power generation unit (20). Therefore no air for cooling needs to be introduced separately, and only the compressed air necessary for the operati on is introduced. As a result, the power output with respect to the air volume is increased by reducing the power of the air force-feeding source for the fuel cell device. The power output/efficiency of the fuel cell device and the output/efficiency of the power generating facility are improved.
