PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an information recorder that the recording quality does not deteriorate even locally by giving an appropriate recording power initial value when the recording unit is short, or even in the case of CAV or ZCLV recording. SOLUTION: When the recording operation is restarted, the recording power preserved in a recording power storage part 110 is referred to by a setting part 106 of recording power initial value, and the recording power initial value is obtained by using the power corrected result right before the stop of recording operation. When the recording power in relation to a speed almost equal to a recording linear speed is not being stored in the recording power storage part 110, the power initial value is calculated and set by the arithmetic operation from the optimum recording power obtained by a trial writing control part 105 and the linear speed at the restart time of recording operation. |
