PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation counter capable of separation-counting movable bodies individually corresponding to a purpose in the movable bodies of count objects. SOLUTION: This separation counter is provided with an area determining part 5 for arranging an internal area which can be set arbitrarily on image in a display and arranging a plurality of divided external areas arbitrarily around the internal area, a tracking part 8 for tracking the movable bodies appearing in the external areas and the internal area, a counting part 9 for separation-counting the number of movable bodies which moves to other external areas by passing the internal area from one external area that the locus of the movable body by the tracking part 8 make arrange in the area determining part 5 according to the direction of the movement between different external areas.
