<p>A power distribution system is provided including current sharing circuitry, current sensing and over-current protection. The system includes a plurality of power converter modules (72) each having a current sharing signal terminal (15) on an input side and power output terminals (Vo+ and Vo-) on an output side, the corresponding power output terminals (Vo+ and Vo-) of the several modules (12) being connected together and adapted to power a common load; an interconnecting signal bus (17) coupled across the current sharing signal terminals (15) on the input side; a plurality of feedback circuits (16, 18, 20, 22, and 24), each of which is associated with one of said modules (12), each feedback circuit (16, 18, 20, 22, and 24) including a comparator error amplifier (18) for comparing a feedback voltage on the output side with a reference voltage (Vo_ref) to provide an error signal to the input side; the error signal conditioned to provide a current command signal (I_share) to said signal bus (17), wherein the signal bus (17) provides a common current command signal (I_share) to drive the power converter modules (12).</p> |
