PURPOSE: Functional grain obtained by coating bamboo juice and an additive such as loess, pine needles, gingko leaves, green tea leaves, etc. on the surface thereof is provided which has excellent long-term preservability and pharmacological efficacy. CONSTITUTION: A bamboo is washed with water or 1 to 90% alcohol to remove foreign material such as bacteria, agrochemical components, etc., mixed with loess and an additive and extracted in a solvent at 40 to 90deg.C to produce bamboo juice. The bamboo juice is coated on the surface of grain at 10 to 35deg.C and then dried. The additive is selected from the group consisting of mugworts, pine needles, gingko leaves, green tea leaves, rosin, etc. The solvent is preferably water or 50 to 90% ethanol. |
