FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method deals with obtaining sodium diacetate to be used as food additive. Said food additive is obtained due to interaction of acetate trihydrate as side product of polyethers' manufacturing with acetic acid followed by concentration by evaporation and drying at 60-65 C. The method enables to decrease expenditures due to application of cheaper raw material and exclusion of solvent' usage as ethanol. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 ex
