PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To built up an Internet phone system with a simpler means configuration and to maintain voice quality. SOLUTION: When a first analog phone 101S makes a call to a second analog phone 101R by utilizing a public telephone line network 107, a second Internet connection device 103R detects the incoming call, stores the telephone number of the first analog phone 101S, assembles the caller telephone number and the called party telephone number into IP packets addressed to a prescribed multicast address and transmits the resulting IP packets to the Internet 105. A first internet connection device 103S receiving the IP packet interrupts the call and transmits the IP packet to the called party IP address via the Internet 105 to allow both Internet connection devices 103S, 103R to recognize the caller and called party IP addresses so as to establish a speech communication via the Internet 105.
