PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a repeater and a repeating system by which a network is freely and easily organized regardless of installation sites. SOLUTION: Repeater device as one aspect of the present invention is the device which is connected to the network and performs packet routing to network equipment connected to the repeating device. The device is provided with a control part for supplying a packet to the network equipment which communicates with a first communication part via the first communication part which conducts communication with an external unit by radio wave and a slot where an extension card which provides function extending property to one of the repeating device is inserted. The control part performs communication with the extension card in a state where the extension card is inserted to the slot.
