The invention relates to a roll stand for rolling bar-shaped or tubular material, in which a plurality of rolls 2 form a roll pass. The rolls 2 are each mounted on a roll shaft 8 split in two, the roll shafts being mounted in the stand housing 1 of the roll stand in such a way that they can be shifted radially for the purpose of adjusting the rolls 2 relative to the roll axis 3. In order to be able to permit a simple displacement of the sectional shafts 9, 10 of the roll shafts 8, an axial bearing which axially fixes the roll shaft 8 is either provided on a hub, relative to which the roll shaft 8 can be selectively shifted or fixed in the axial direction, and/or that part of the axial bearing which is connected to the stand housing is arranged in such a way that it can be released from outside.
