PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewing information supply device for inexpensively realizing a VOD service capable of managing the concentration of viewing requests from subscribers. SOLUTION: The viewing information supply device transmits viewing information to a subscriber terminal from a viewing information server. The subscriber terminal has a rewritable recording device. The viewing information server selects the transmission form of a unicast system or a multicast system and transmits viewing information to the subscriber terminal. The subscriber terminal receives viewing information in a reception form corresponding to the transmission form and records it in the rewritable recording device.
