PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating operating device simple to assemble and having less backlash in a neutral position. SOLUTION: Engaging claws 12, 13 whose projection parts 12a, 13a are circularly formed are formed on the back side of an operating member 3. By inserting the operating member 3 into a supporting part 5 and inserting the engaging claws 12, 13 into engaging holes 18, 19, the operating member 3 is held so as not to come off of the supporting part 5, and also supported so as to freely oscillate. The oscillation of the operating member 3 can smoothly conducted by the contact of sliding surfaces 12b, 13b formed on the engaging claws 12, 13 and accepting surfaces 22, 23 of the supporting part 5. The holding of the operating member 3 in the neutral position is conducted by the energizing of an energizing member 6 formed by integrating a fitting part 30, a first coil spring 31, and a second coil spring 32, and thereby, the generation of backlash is prevented.
