PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical disk of a type where a reflection layer, recording layer and light transmission layer are formed in this order on a substrate in which the deposition conditions of the recording layer are adequately set. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the optical disk by forming the reflection layer 12, the recording layer 14 and the light transmission layer 16 in this order on the substrate, the deposition speed of the recording layer 16 is set at >=5 nm/sec. As a result, the manufacture of the optical disk having low jitters is made possible. More particularly, the deposition speed of the recording layer 14 is preferably set at >=50 nm/sec and the deposition speed of the reflection layer 12 is further preferably set at >=15 nm/sec.
