<p>The present invention relates to a delivery system and method arranged to facilitate the pick-up and delivery of freight from a pick-up point to a delivery destination. The delivery system provides 'job' information to local service providers, such as a taxi companies, who have a usual 'primary' transport function (in the case of taxi companies this is transporting people). The local service provider can choose to take the 'job' and, during or in between carrying out their primary function, can pick-up the freight item and deliver it to a designated destination.</p> |
