PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery in which deformation by swelling of battery electrode(s) is less in charging. SOLUTION: This is a sealed type battery 4 manufactured by sealing electrolytic solution intake port in the condition that the pressure in the battery can is retained lower than the atmospheric pressure after having been supplied of the electrolytic solution to the battery can 2 in which the battery element 6 is housed wherein a positive electrode 4 and a negative electrode 5 are opposingly arranged while a separator 3 is made to be interposed.
