PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commercial message CM video image reproduction system for inserting a CM video image to a video image without fail when a time to reproduce the CM video image comes during reproduction of the video image. SOLUTION: A video disk 111 records video data, CM video data to be inserted to the video data, and CM control information including an insertion time of the CM video data. A video disk reproducing device 110 respectively outputs a video image read and reproduced from the video disk 111 to a video input section 132 and the CM control information to a control information management section 121. A received data management section 125 receives CM video data whose version is updated and stores the data to a CM storage section 127. When a time attached to a reproduced video image is coincident with an inserted time of the CM video data or an inserted time exists between a time attached to a video image and a program access time, a reproduction control section 128 reads and reproduces the CM video data stored in the CM storage section 127 and allows a display section 134 to output the CM video data.
