PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of an elimination node when tokens are doubly issued. SOLUTION: At receiving a token frame, each node refers to its transmitting source node (step S1) and detects a node of which transfer order of transmission right is between a preceding transmitting source node and the current transmitting source node as an untransmitted node candidate (step S2). When its own node is not included in untransmitted node candidates, the untransmitted node candidates are regarded as untransmitted nodes. When the node itself is included in the candidates, its own node and nodes of which transfer order is after its own node are removed and only candidates of which transfer order is before that of its own node are detected as untransmitted nodes. When a certain node is detected as an untransmitted node by the prescribed number of times, e.g. three times and its token frame is not transmitted during the period, the node is determined as an elimination node.
