PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration information generation device capable of sharply reducing the number of production processes and accurately displaying also the name of a machine model. SOLUTION: Identification information (GUID) specifically given to each equipment is stored in a 1st storage part such as an NVRAM (step S51). A plurality of machine model names are stored in a 2nd storage part such as a ROM correspondingly to partial information constituting the GUID in addition to the set information of the equipment (step S52). The partial information constituting the GUID is read out from the 1st storage part (steps S54, S55) and a machine model name is extracted from the 2nd storage part on the basis of the read partial information (machine model name ID) (step S56). Then configuration information is generated in relation with the equipment setting information stored in the 2nd storage part, the GUID stored in the 1st storage part and the extracted machine model name and stored in a 3rd storage part such as a RAM (step S58).
