摘要 The present invention relates to a method for the rapid, reliable and precise detection of drug-induced mutations in the reverse transcriptase gene allowing the simultaneous characterization of a range of codons involved in drug resistance using specific sets of probes optimized to function together in a reverse-hybridization assay. More particularly, the present invention relates to the genetic detection of the following mutations in the HIV RT gene: K103N/R, V106A/I/L, Q151M/L, Y181C/I, M184V/I, Y188L, G190A/S/R and/or T215Y/F/D/S/A. The present invention also relates to probes and primers for such detection, to a diagnostic kit and a LiPA assay. The present invention further relates to HIV RT sequences comprising previously unknown polymorphisms.
