<p>The invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as support, suspended and strain insulators. The inventive high-voltage insulator comprises a carrying monolithic rod made of composite material based on fibreglass and a polymeric binding material, a protective antitraking ribbed shell and metallic end terminals fixed to the ends of the rod. The end parts of said end terminals are provided with an external collar having a semicircular cross section and a radius R1 equal to or higher than (-0.64+0.15 Uf), wherein Uf is a phase voltage value. A cylindrical groove filed with a mechanically stressed dielectric layer is embodied on the internal surface of each end terminal. Said groove is smoothly coupled by the cross section thereof with the external collar having the coupling radius R2 equal or higher than (-7.1+0.15 Uf) and with the internal surface of a cylindrical cavity in which a carrying rod having a radius R3 equal to or higher than (-5.3+0.15 Uf) is arranged. The protective shell is embodied in the form of a monolithic layer which embraces the rod and the external surface of the end terminals and has a variable thickness in the cylindrical part thereof along the rod length, said thickness increases in the direction of increased intensity.</p> |
