<p>A set of binders includes round ring binders (16) and binders with flattened rings (20), having the same exterior appearance, but with the flattened ring binders (20), accommodating wider sheets (80), such as index sheets. Individual flattened ring binders (52 and 54) include reliable over center ring operation with elongated plates (56 and 58) to which the rings are secured, and an overlying elongated spring cover (60) to apply inward pressure on the plates (56 and 58). Using flattened rings (78), the covers (72 and 74) of the binders may be reduced in extent.</p> |
