The invention relates to an anti-skid device (1) for a crutch (2), which anti-skid device (1) includes a gripping part (3), which gripping part (3) is disposed movably between an engagement positionand a retracted position. A locking member (4) is disposed to be able to lock the gripping part (3) in its engagement position. The locking member (4) can be provided with an indicator part (13), which indicates that the gripping part (3) is locked in its enagement position. The invention also relates to a crutch (2) provided with the anti-skid device (1) according to the invention.
