PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that can dynamically switch to a new data acquisition server when a fault occurs in an original data acquisition server. SOLUTION: The communication system has a printer device 1 with a communication function, a first personal computer 2 and a plurality of second personal computers 3 to 7. The first personal computer 2 has a first communication interface part 8 for establishing communication with the communication-function- equipped device, a first external database 12 for storing device information, a first external information register 11 for storing personal computer communication information communicated with the second personal computers 3 to 7, and a first central processing unit 15. The second personal computers have a second communication interface part 13 for acquiring the device information and the personal computer communication information, a second external database 17 for storing the device information, a second external information register 16 for storing the personal computer communication information, and a second central processing unit 15 for controlling all of them. |
