PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and make thin an optical pickup by arranging various kinds of optical components consisting a laser optical system so that the detecting direction of a tracking error of a photodetector roughly matches with the moving direction of reflected light at the time of tracking adjustment to a disk-like recording medium while securing a required optical path length of a laser beam from a laser irradiation means up to a signal surface of the disk-like recording medium. SOLUTION: In the optical pickup 100, an integrated optical element 104 is arranged so as to make the optical axis of the laser beam L1 from the laser irradiation means to a prism orthogonal to the radial direction of the disk-like recording medium 5 and the moving direction at the time of focus adjustment of an objective lens 122, and the prism 125 inside the integrated optical element, the photodetector and a rising mirror are arranged so as to roughly match the detecting direction of the tracking errors of the photodetectors 126 and 127 and the moving direction of the reflected light L2 at the time of the tracking adjustment to the disk-like recording medium. |
