OPTICAL DISK DRIVE AND OPTICAL REPRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive and an optical reproduction method capable of eliminating noises and positively utilizing these lights in reproduction of an optical recording medium emitting the light of a wavelength different from the one of an irradiation light. SOLUTION: When reproducing information recorded on the optical recording medium (501) emitting the light of a second wavelength (λ2) when being irradiated with the light of a first wavelength (λ1), the optical disk drive makes the reflected light of the first wavelength from the optical recording medium be incident on a photodetector (508) for main signal detection and positively utilizes the light of the second wavelength emitted at the optical recording medium in the photodetector (507) for servo signal detection without making it incident on the photodetector for the main signal detection.
