<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and easily insert a wire or the like through a long horizontal pipe-type route or a horizontal pipe-type route in which an already installed pipe exists. SOLUTION: An expandable pipe 17 having a tightly closed leading end is put on a conduit 11 which is connected to a compressed air supply system 14 and has an air outlet 12 while the expandable pipe 17 is in a contracted state and the rear end of the expandable pipe 17 is in a closed and fixed state. After the leading ends of the pipe 17 and the conduit 11 are inserted into one end of an underground duct 21 in this state, while compressed air is introduced into the expandable pipe 17 from the compressed air supply system 14 through the air outlet 12 of the conduit 11 to expand the expandable pipe 17, the leading end of the expandable pipe 17 is made to progress as far as the other end of the underground duct 21 in a floating state. After one end of a wire or the like is fixed to the leading end of the expandable pipe 17, while the expandable pipe 17 is drawn back toward the one end of the underground duct 21 to be put onto the conduit 11 in the contracted state, the wire or the like is tracted and inserted into the underground duct 21.</p> |
