摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the thickness unevenness of a light transmission layer in the radial direction of an optical information medium smaller and to prevent air bubbles to be the cause of a recording/reproducing error and a servo error from mixing into the light transmission layer in forming the light transmission layer by a spin coating method in a method of manufacturing the optical information medium in which a laser beam for recording/reproducing is made incident on an information recording layer through the light transmission layer. SOLUTION: This method comprises forming the light transmission layer by disposing the information recording layer on a supporting substrate 100, then covering the central hole of the supporting substrate by blockade means 3, supplying a coating liquid 5 containing a resin to the surface of the blockade means and spreading the coating liquid 5 onto the surface of the supporting substrate 100 by spin coating, in which the center line average roughness Ra of the surface of the blockage means touched by the coating liquid is confined to <=100 nm and the ten point mean roughness Rz thereof is confined to <=1μm or the mean inclination angleθa of the roughness is confined to <=1 deg..
