PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-density and large-capacity dielectric information device which constitutes SNDM capable of using a plurality of small-sized probes and records and reproduces information in fine areas of a dielectric by using the SNDM. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a plurality of 1st electrodes 14 which record information in fine areas of the dielectric 12 and a 2nd electrode 13 which is provided to be opposite to the 1st electrodes 14 across the dielectric and grounded and an AC signal is applied to the 1st electrodes 14 to read the information recorded in the fine areas of the dielectric thin film 12. The dielectric constant of the fine areas is determined by the polarization direction of the fine areas and the direction of an applied electric field and a resonance circuit including a capacitor Cs based upon the dielectric constant and an externally provided inductor L as elements causes an oscillator 20 to oscillate. The signal of the oscillator 20 is demodulated by an FM demodulator 21 and synchronously detected by a signal detector 22. To record information, a recording signal is applied to the 1st electrodes 14 and the polarization direction is so determined as to correspond to the recording signal.
